Guns and roses…

May 3, 2010

The next day Austin dressed up as his favorite superhero,

Impossible Man…

He went over to Amy’s house and tried to use his X-ray vision to see through her front door…

He stood there for two hours, then finally rang the bell…

Amy answered…

“I can see through doors and walls with my X-ray vision,” Austin said…

“That’s impossible,” Amy said…

“That’s way I’m called Impossible Man,” Austin said, and went home…

Why did girls have to live next door to him??? he thought…

Why did they have to live anywhere???

— in Yuck, A Love Story by Don Gillmor and Marie-Louise Gay

Little Gem knows just which book to choose before she goes to bed…

Her immediate insights are right on the money…

X-ray comments like this one…

What Austin doesn’t yet realize is that if girls didn’t live anywhere there would be no people on this earth…

You need to have a girl to make a baby…

Now keep reading…

Little Gem and Starshine had a lot to report after five days at their other home…

Sometimes I get way too much information…

I’ve spent years working on my filtering system…

and keeping comments neutral…

We went swimming with Papa today…

He wore a Speedo…

How was that for you???

Like being in a Ben Stiller movie…

If I were in Chicago right now I’d be looking for the best hotdog cart in town…

and asking Mr. Barbequeman to drag it through the garden…

But I’m not in Chicago…

I’m right here…

wearing my Canucks shirt…

and eating granola with rhubarb sauce…

Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place...
